Over the last 5 years I’ve tried and tested many face and body scrubs! Especially as far as body scrubs are concerned I must have tried over 5 of them! For the face though there’s one scrub I adore and I’m not changing it no matter what: Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Foaming Scrub! For my body I currently use Soap & Glory’s Sugar Crush. And now off to my review!!
Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Foaming Scrub
I’ll be honest by saying that it’s the first face scrub that I ever tried thanks to a friend of mine who had bought it first. What I like in this scrub is a) the fact that there are a lot of grains that exfoliate my face and b) it makes your skin feel tingly and invigorated. Those two qualities makes me feel that this scrub really works! Every time I use it, my face feels fresher and the dry patches on my face (“courtesy” of an autoimmune skin condition of mine)feel (and are) smoother. I try to use it once a week in order to get maximum results (as opposed to using it every 2-3 weeks in the past.
Soap&Glory Sugar Crush
If you ever buy this scrub, please restrain yourself from eating it, as it smells SO GOOD! The sweet lime is the most prominent note, but the almond oil and brown sugar add to this sweet and irresistible scent! The grains are made from macadamia nuts and do a pretty good job at exfoliating gently the skin. I’d buy this one again (when I find someone to bring it over from the UK as it’s not sold or shipped in Greece
) as it’s the best one I’ve tried so far!
Other scrubs I’ve used
In order to have a “comparative” case study I decided to write about the other scrubs I’ve used in the past. For my face I’ve tried Korres Pomegranate Cleansing Scrub (with grains from olive kernels) and Apivita’s Gentle Exfoliating Gel with Apricot. The first one had a creamy texture (whilst I’m more of a gel person) and it smelled like olives (and I dislike olives) so I didn’t like it at all! The second one had a very nice texture and scent, but it lacked that tingling sensation that I get from Neutrogena’s scrub!
For the body now, I’ve tried numerous scrubs from L’Oreal’s Exfotonic to Fresh Line’s sea salt scrub! The sea salt was actually good, albeit pricey, the first time I bought it about 10 years ago. Last time I bought it though it was combined with a yellow-ish essential oil, which was then transferred on to my towel when I dried myself. Not convenient at all!! The worst scrub I’ve ever used was by Kings and Queens. It was supposed to be a gel, but it never got dissolved easily when rubbing it on to my wet skin and became rather sticky!
Which are YOUR favorite scrubs? Do share…as I like to switch products every now and then!

Thanks for the review! I always have wanted to try the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush scrub!
However i have tried several LUSH scrubs that i have really liked, my fav being the Aqua Mirabilis both a scrub and a body butter, although you can’t find LUSH products in Greece as well
as for a face scrub I am currently using “honey… snap out of it!” by Benefit!
The Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Foaming Scrub sounds really good! Can’t wait to try it
