Yesterday I went to Shop in Ermou street to see a presentation of Elena Syraka’s jewelry from her lines “Demi-Gods” and “Charmed Life”. Having seen her jewelry in magazines for more than 10 years, it was nice to meet Elena in person and ask her about her inspiration.

She told me that the jewelry were inspired by the Greek Gods and especially by Zeus, Hermes (Mercury) and Artemis (Diana). The jewelry with wings are inspired by Hermes, who wore wings as he was the Gods’ messenger and also the God of wealth!

Then there are jewerly inspired by Zeus’s lightning and jewelry with horns that are inspired by Artemis, which was the Goddess of hunting.

The other jewelry that were on display were the Zodiac signs. Each one of them is paired with the sign’s birth stone.

I was particularly interested at Scorpio, which is my sign apparently… She told me that my birthstone is topaz, as you can also see in the following picture in the top right corner.

Also pictured the signs of Saggitarius accompanied with turquoise (top right picture as well), Gemini with pearl, Taurus with emerald (both on bottom left picture) and Aries with grey diamond (bottom right picture).
