{fashion} Olivia Palermo for Carrera y Carrera

olivia palermo for carrera y carrera ibiza photoshoot

I must admit that I am an Olivia Palermo “fan”… I know, I haven’t featured her in my blog as with my other style crushes, but I like her elegant looks. As my friend Al would say, she is smooth, very smooth. So seeing her in the campaign of jewerly house Carrera y Carrera for their Mediterraneo line, I couldn’t resist writing a post about it (plus I didn’t have time for an outfit post :P )

About the Mediterraneo line…

This line is fresh and youthful  and consists of jewels in yellow and white gold and diamonds. Through this line, Carrera y Carrera tells a story about the godesses and nymphs living in the Mediterranean sea. The rings, pendants and bracelets are inspired by the hidden treasures of the sea: iridiscent shells, starfishes and other sea creatures.

The Mediterraneo line consists of 4 styles:

Actea, the beautiful nymph that used to protect the sailors,

Afrodita, which embodies the tender love on the shores of the sea,

Calipso, symbol of passion and desire for Ulyssee and last,

Atenea, the glorious godess

I have to say that I have a soft spot for the Atenea line. I find this starfish ring really cute!

The Photoshoot

Olivia Palermo Carrera y Carrera

The photoshoot starring Olivia Palermo, took place in Ibiza. If you visit the Carrera y Carrera website you can see also a video about the photoshoot. I believe that Olivia is a “natural” choice for this campaign because she’s young and stylish and now that she’s a brunette, she embodies even more the Mediterranean woman (she’s of Italian descent after all).
