Yesterday I attended the Delight show for spring summer 2011. I liked the simple lines of the clothes and the colourful patterns. Especially the patterns with the boats, they reminded me of some patterns that I used to wear as a kid. The models’ styling was very laid back with natural looking make up and sported either loose locks or loose braids. The catwalk “entrance” sported a white surfboard with geometrical pattern, so if it where me I would send the models down the runway along with the song “Surfing USA” by the Beach Boys. Nevertheless the show’s soundtrack was very appropriate as it made you focus on what you saw. The closing track was “Sweet Disposition” by Temper Trap which I totally like.
Before I stop my rant and let you enjoy my best shots from the show, I have to mention that Delight won the first prize for most commercial design collection, summer 2011 at the 26th International Apparel Federation Convention in Hong Kong.
